It is easy. Put WHOIS in your search engine. It will probably give you your IP automatically. However, you can paste or enter the IP you are researching. It will not tell you the name of the individual end-user, just who offers services with that IP such as Ntelos, or Cox, etc. However, ARIN abuse information will be available if you are interested in pursuing abusive situations. It will give an email add and phone #.

1. First find out the IP number you wish to check.
2. Open a webbrowser and go to www.samspade.org
3. Type the IP number in the input box marked IP WHOIS, and click the button at the side.
4. A new page will load with the IP number in bold and next to it the same number but as a clickable link. Click on this link. All the domain information about the IP number will be revealed to you below.
5. Use the email address usually included in the information if you wish to complain about this user.

The owner of an IP address is an ISP. Use an IP search site and it will tell you where the ISP is located. Due to DSL many of the ISP are no longer in the general area of the person assigned that IP address.

You can't unless that same person has been there 2wice.
Check the other IP Addresses, compare them to the one you're looking for, and see if any are the same!
