Hi all,
i would like to know from all of you out there,, that i format my PC every month or 2months or so... due to some malacious threats and viruses i found on my computer and also i found my Pc to go slow from the usual first time after formatinng.. Does it cause any effect on my computer's hard-disk.. Plz all computer Wizz out there...helpp me out with this.. If posible tell me all lemitations nd advantages of doing it so..

Nope I format my computer about once a month too. I like to keep it free of spy ware and virus plus I like to keep it as fast as possible for gaming. I have been doing this for as long as I can remember. I highly doubt it has any negative side effects.

14 months and I never reformated my Computer I do 95% of my work in limited account if anything happens to my user account I can just delete it and make a new one. In my opinion a user should never reformat the entire system unless there has been some disaster he can't recover from he's upgrading to a newer version of an OS or the hard drive died.

no it harm your pc, but why format every 2 months use software that protects your pc so u wont have to format so often.

avg free is good for antivirus, spybot is good for spyware sygate firewall is good for further protection all are free and easily available online.
