Hi, this can be a problem with Norton. Have had this happen quite a few times and will no longer use the software. I have had it were it won't update live update and were its turned my firewall off every time I switch my pc off. Try uninstalling the software including live update/symantec. You have to do this a precise order as well. Think you get reid of symantec/live update then norton. Re-install it again.

If you still have the same problem it is likely that you have picked something up that your spyware and anti virus hasn't caught. Your only way out is to find out what or copy all your files and then re-install windows.

sell off the Norton products, maximum malware writers can get around Norton AntiVirus and internet secure practices. (as properly Norton products are infamous source hogs). Use AVG unfastened to your Anti-Virus, ZoneAlarm to your firewall and advert-conscious as your spyware remover.
