Security - March 2007

I want to use a MacAfee firewall and Yahoo antivirus for my DSL. How can I get them to recognize each other and play nice? The online help said that old virus protection software had to be uninstalled before Yahoo could be installed so they wouldn't be essentially doing the same things at the same times and tying up the computer. But I don't have MacAfee antivirus, just the firewall, so Yahoo antivirus shouldn't be impeded. How can I make this work?

my comuter is really slow. when logging on all kinds of windows pop up like system 32, and msn and alot of windows i did not open. then it takes forever to close them. is there an easy way to clean it up without losing any files i dont want to lose. also, does anyone know about the spam guard? Can you send email to spam from your bulk folder. thanks

Please tell me in detail...I tried sites but they dont make sense.

I ran all the spyware and antivirus stuff I have...

Zonealram security suite
Spyware doctor
avg
adaware
yahoo antispy
spybot
ashampoo antispy....nothing

But, I still have 2 processes running that say its that trojan

ScanningProcess.exe How do I get rid of it? I cant turn it off...

I use Microsoft's Windows Onecare Live antivirus and firewall. At each reboot, it finds TrojanSpy:Win32/VBStat.D, and Win32VBStat.E, after it was supposed to be removed. i have tried Lavasoft AdAware, Microsoft's Online Safety Scanner, both in normal, and safe modes, but with no success. All attempts to get answers for microsoft support lead to a useless runaround of point and click choices, or a web page trying to get me too buy one of there other adware programs. Any help here would be greatly appreciated

They go to the history and they delete it and everything, like the cookies, and doesthis get rid of it completely, or is it all still saved on the harddrive? If it really is all gone, then I would like some suggestions on monitoring software so I can see what they get up to from now on. If you can get rid of it just by deleting the history like that, then how do the police catch the paedophiles?

please i need help my neice who is 13 has an msn account and unfortunately someone has managed to get into it. They are sending a web site through her msn using her name when you click on, someone then takes control of your computer and you can see them going through your freinds msn details. I would be real gratefull if anyone no's of any software that can tell us how to cheak the pc to find out whether or not she has any sort of hacking software put on her computer, and if there is anyway we can trace who it is. I would be so gratefull for any help she is so upset because all her buddies were in her msn and they have had the same msn as her thinking its off her so she really isnt popular at school at the moment. I no hacking is a common thing and easy to do if you no how. she has avg pretection on her pc. any help anyone could give would be so appretiated at the moment so i will say thanks now for any help.
