I want to use a MacAfee firewall and Yahoo antivirus for my DSL. How can I get them to recognize each other and play nice? The online help said that old virus protection software had to be uninstalled before Yahoo could be installed so they wouldn't be essentially doing the same things at the same times and tying up the computer. But I don't have MacAfee antivirus, just the firewall, so Yahoo antivirus shouldn't be impeded. How can I make this work?

This is what I have found to be the most efficient and reliable:

1. Eset Nod32 ... an excellent choice, and in my opinion, the best antivirus on the market. Microsoft use it to test their own products before they release them so that should give you an idea of how good it is. Combining Nod32 antivirus with a Windows firewall and/or router works very, very well together.

2. Windows Live One-Care (all in one firewall, antivirus, antispyware) is also an excellent choice and works in real time. Combined with Spybot .... a real thumbs up.

They shouldnt have a problem .The only problems I ever had was making the mistake of installing 2 anti viruses.(That doesn't work well).I ran 3 firewalls before I didn't have a problem with that either.I use Mcafee firewall pro its pretty reliable. The free Yahoo anti virus is a great thing.Should install seperatly and co-exist perfectly.

Forget McFee, it's old news,
Use somthing more update, like norton or AVG.
These will run just fine with Yahoo.
