He may have made a good guess or used a Key-logger you not know about. But, most likely, you "may" have told him without knowing. Many times people can ask questions about certain things of our life and in time use these as Passwords, because many people use familiar things for passwords.
Example; Say we talking on messenger everyday. Over time I can ask you; What your dog's name, what kind of dog? You live with both parents? What their names? When your birthday, I send you a card? etc. etc. and over time I can have a lot of information. Then it may take a few hours of playing the Password Crunch.
People do this on Phones all the time. My mom the world's worst about saying something. I tell her; "NEVER say anything and hang up. Everytime you talk they learn more".

Probably not very difficult. Most people use the most obvious passwords or leave the password in an obvious spot. Of course it could be that you didn't password protect your files & anyone could have changed your content.
