i was told that i can reboot my computer like erase everything that is in my computer i understand that all my info will be deleted. i just dont know how to do this if someone can please tell me how can i do this

I have basic computer skills. I know what RAM is and what a hard drive is but most of what I do on the computer is self taught. But alot of the jargon I don't know either. Example I don't know the difference between CPU and a computer. I thought they were the same thing. I know how to copy and paste w/ the ctrl c & ctrl v buttons but that's about it. Please any input would greatly help. I need this job.

I'm not sure what had caused this problem, I've performed a disk check ,it seem fine. It worked flawlessly fast, I have a 2 gb ram.. Usually when it crash ,the following apps are running : iTUnes, Finder, Photoshop cs3, Adium ,Safari ..The song would eventually freeze and hang for a few seconds then the screen turned black then restarted.
I re-logged in to OS X and there seem to be no crash reporter dialog or anything, everything seem to be so fine and that the system did not notice anything. what's going on here?

I hate Open Office. Too complicated, can't make it work so deleted it. Lost Windows Works when my motherboard fried, but loved the program. Want to write a friend a letter to copy off and mail. What can I use that's simple and doesn't take up take up so much space, like Open Office did?

when i open q-a on the left hand side of my screen is my name my points and my level.and when i answer a question it all goes to the right hand side of my screen.and when i go back to the questions in the main part.its back on the left hand side of my screen.has this happen to anyone else.and what could course it to do it.a while back it kept telling me that there was a copy.of whats on my computer.thanks

The left hand mouse button is a bit resistant, if you make a light click it doesn't work you have to press heavily. I have tried blowing through to clear any fluff or dust... Should I try with something else or is it nearing retiurement age?

There are a bunch of Family Guy videos and some other stuff that I want to take off of sites such as Youtube, convert to WMV and then put on Windows Movie Maker. I am just not sure how to do this so if someone could please tell me then I will be very happy.
P.S. If I'm making a compilation of videos or something and wish to get only a tiny clip of a long video file how do I get it?

i have a few movies in avi format i bought. i try playing them on my computer using WMP, Real, VLC, QuickTime and alot of others and the video does not show up, only audio. occasionally a bunch of red dots in the general outline of the image will show up on the video but no clear video. i have downloaded FFdshow codec and it still doesnt work. what can i do?

ok, so, when i Right click nothing happens. I was writing a report and was trying to right click it to copy it and paste it into an email ( just finished and ready to email ) and nothing happened. Usually it would come up with the bax that said, copy, paste, save to favorite, ect. So please tell me how to fix this. If i right click anything, even the icons on my desktop NOTHING happens. PLZ PLZ HELP

when i try to open “roswell-the monster” on my computer divx player i get a message that “you may need an additional audio decoder to play the soundtrack of this file”...“this file contains a track in the windows media audio (wma)(code"353” format. you may need to install a direct show decoder ofr this file audio format in order to hear the soundtrack of this file. ..i can watch it but i have no sound can someone help

ok my grandma gave me a windows 98 gateway computer and i was in stalling games then i tried to install a rocket power game and that didnt work so i tried to install a spongebob game and it got frozen so i restarted it and wen the main screen popped up there was no taskbar no icons no start button....there was nothing but the cursor.
so i did CTRL + ALT + DELETE and there was no programs running so i restarted it like 5 times and there was still nothing but the cursor so i turned off the computer till the next morning(today) and its still just the background and the cursor..........
can u tell me wat to do instead of installing windows 98 or anything again?
id appreciate it!

Everything on the screen has moved 90 degrees to the left, as my dog jumped on the keyboard (it's a laptop). I have no idea what he did. it's a laptop and a windows xp if that helps anyone. I remember that if you press a key and then the left/right arrow it moves the screen but i can't remember. any help please?
