Go to http://www.keepvid.com to download the video in an FLV format. Then you need to convert it to a WMV format so use the free software from the link below to convert from FLV to WMV.

You can try downloading a program called TubeSucker which should allow you do download a video from YouTube. There are also some other programs that you can find online that will do similar things. Once you have it downloaded (usually as a FLV file, you will have to find an FLV to WMV converter. Once you finish the conversion you will have your WMV file to do what you want. If you want to get clips you will have to search for a video editor. There are a lot of free versions out there..just search for it online.=) Good luck!

As you want to download videos from sites such as Youtube convert them to WMV.You may use http://vixy.net/ this to download youtube video to AVI, MP4, MOV, 3GP video for free. Then put them on Windows Movie Maker.

Well, you can get an FLV player but if you dont want to spend money download a tube sucker and prism.
Prism is a file converter and Tube Sucker let's you download vids off of youtube. and yes, they are free to get. (Whatever you do, don't get the pro)
