I don't know the exact terms for this stuff, but I'll try to explain. I think my computer crashed, but anyways, when I turned it on, the screen was black and some white text came up in font similar to courier new, it looked like the squarish blocked latters that typewriters use. It said something about pressing f11 or f12 or something, and then some other stuff. But anyways, i was pressing that f11 or f12 button and it didn't work. so i had to do a system recovery. I think that's what it's called, but I had to put in 3 cds one after the other and it restarted my system back to facotry settings. Now, I'm just wondering if i could somehow get my files back? Is that possible at all?

Like when you set the pixels on MS Paint or any other program like Photoshop Elements. I used to know but now I have forgotten. D=

I have to make a Restaruant Menu for Math Class. It needs to be on one printed page or done on construction paper. My handwriting looks really bad, and Photoshop Elements has a lot of cool effects so I just want to use that. I might make an A! Yaaayz!

I was having problem with computer starting back, it became shut down completely.

The dell people fixed the computer and now it's back on.

okay. i have windows xp and i turned my computer on today andi had to log on (which i never do i only have compaq_administrator, and thats the only account i have its suppose to automatically log). So i went to control panel clicked user accounts and tried to change the way i logged in BUT........ it said " Client Services for NetWare has disabled the Welcome screen and Fast user Switching. To restore these features, you must uninstall Client Services for NetWare." So thats were i need ur help tell me what to do cause i dont..!!!!!!!!

when i go into internet options and click on the general tab and try to change my home page , the feature that allows you to do so is disabled . the temporary internet files are enabled and the history is enabled . how do i enable the change home page feature ?

I have windows xp home edition. The brightness bar is constantly showing when I turn on the computer, and it won't go away for long. Like I tried pressing the button with an [X] on it and it makes the brightness bar go away as long as I keep on pressing it, when I dont eventually it will come back. I tried lowering the brightness as an experiment and it is really hard to lower, and when it does, after I stop pressing that button it slowly makes it go back to 100. When I turn off the power button on the monitor it goes away for a few seconds. Sometimes it just goes away on its own for a while, but then comes back. It is really annoying since it is in the middle of screen. I also tried the auto adjust button but with no luck. Please help.

I work very hard in a word document with size, color and all those text issues but when I copy and paste into my description for my ebay listing it changes the colors and such, is it because I started out and then copied and repasted, did I set something in motion but not starting with a clean screen to paste it to on my ebay listing ? help the 56 year old dino once again thanks

How do I save all my documents and pics to cds or dvds (I'm trying to speak computer ease, but I am the 56 year old dino !!) so step by step please, I've never done this. i watched the entire last season of heroes by downloading through bit torrent, now i cant even get an episode to start downloading. has something happened? i cant download new episodes of curb your enthusiasm either, the whole system seems to have ground to a halt. has anyone got an explanation??

OK,this is getting really annoying, I've tried uninstalling all the programs I don't need, I run CCleaner daily, run virus scans with Avast! AVG Free and AVG anti-spyware. Still extremly slow, deleted startup programs, deleted sound OOPS! I'm about to snap, so what in the world do I do, reinstall windows? That was what I was thinking, so give me all you have
