to be honest, When you delete something off a computer, you haven't actually deleted it. All the information you delete has been imprinted on the format tables on the hard drive, you'd have to re-format your hard drive and fill it several times to really ensure that no one can extract data from it... aside from physically destroying the hard drive.
Oh and your ISP keep records of sites you've visted and things you've downloaded. Also sites log your IP address when you visit them.
sorry but, once you've went somewhere online, you can't "unvisit" it.

If your computer is on a network, and the network administrator knows what he's doing, deleting your history wont matter
