when i try to open “roswell-the monster” on my computer divx player i get a message that “you may need an additional audio decoder to play the soundtrack of this file”...“this file contains a track in the windows media audio (wma)(code"353” format. you may need to install a direct show decoder ofr this file audio format in order to hear the soundtrack of this file. ..i can watch it but i have no sound can someone help

Search for codec-less Windows version of media players, I know 2 already:

TCPMP for Desktop Windows, ported from Pocket PC, originated from Palm OS 5

VLC Player, ported from Linux, although you will get more options via an actual boot of Live CD Linux from A to Z for those that recognize them.

The ready-to-go Microsoft/commercial options are limited to few combinations of widely used video/audio stream combos. It does not know DivX/WMA combo since that is rare.
