I have downloaded a software called everest but I couldn't find anything about temperature, do I have to plug something in to my motherboard first? Or some other software can do that without plugging in anything?

plz also suggest some good software for checking temperature of cpu and gpu, thx very much!!!

I know its corrupted and I downloaded the auto-updater, my computer read that the mp3 player is plugged in but the updater doesnt. I also tried to format it but it doesnt give me the format option when i right click on the drive. PLEASE HELP!

All of a sudden there is no sound coming out of my speakers. The speakers are on and the volume is turned up, but I still don't hear anything. I hear a buzzing sound, so I switch speakers out and I can't hear anything out of those speakers either. I did troubleshooting and everything appears to be in working order...volume and everything is fine. I don't know what could be wrong, help.

What could be the problem???

if you see my last 2 postings, my PC won't boot all the way, and I'm using Task Manager to open any files I want to use. This method doesn't let me use all my files, but I can play music files, sometimes I can open Internet Explorer.

Before I buy any new bits, I thin ktrying to reinstall Windows is the thing to do. However, when i try to boot off the Windows CD rom, it stalls on the blue screen at the set-up stage, where it asks what kind of installation I want.

I can open CMD prompt through Task manager, what is the exact procedure for formatting, then reinstalling Windows?

Sorry this may be a sort of repeat posting but I'm loathe to try it unless I know exactly what I'm doing.

I'm thinking it's a motherboard or CPU problem maybe.

512mb ram, xp2400+ cpu, ms8137c+. all i seem to have is a pc that runs internet fine with videos etc but always freezes when using dvd or cdrom. at 8x speed dvd cpu usage goes through the roof. never did it in my old system which wasnt as good...AT LEAST IT WORKED ggggrrrrr HELP!

i want to install a geforce 7600 GT Fatality Edition into a very very cheap motherboard supporting pci express 16x. i would be happy to know a motherboard [cheap] that supports pci express 16x, sata, a cheap but good decent processor.i would be happy if i could know about a cheap motherboard supporting agp 8x, sata, decent processor[cheap] if the 7600 gt fatal.. exists as a agp 8x. I just cleaned my processor fan ang heat sink as it was clogged with dust. After i put everything back together the processor fan is coming on every 10-20 minutes or more if the computer is used. It is even coming on during the start up process. This did not happen before cleaning. Is there any chance that i will need to replace the termal paste or have i done something else wrong?

I have tried putting my computer into safe mode but this does not work as I don't think it get to this point. I have an initial screen which allows me to get into BIOS setup or network boot but this is all. After this screen disappears a screen comes up with a cursor flashing in the left corner and nothing else.

ok so I read that someone had the option under there BIOS to give the video card more Vram by using some of there ram... ya know like the sticks of ram that you buy in a computer store.. lol thats just for ppl who dont know what I'm talkin about, well anyways, I have 64mb of vram (video ram) and I am running vista.. yeah i know it's not a good idea.. but it works fine, other then bluescreening ALL THE DAMN TIME, and it also has a problem watchin videos.. in windows media player i can choose to watch em' at 50% zoom level.. but anything bigger then that.. it's just goes slow.. so the sounds is WAY ahead of the frames.. so if there really is a way to give ram to your vram could someone tell me.. or if there's a virtual video card program out there.. that would be nice to know.. thanks guys
