If you want to get a good sense of what something like that is worth used then go to ebay and click on Advanced Search. Then do a search for the item but click on 'show completed auctions only.' This will give you a good sense of what people are willing to pay for a used one. I do it all the time. For new items you can try using froogle.com or one of the other price comparison sites.

You should go shopping at the Website of various retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City and Intechra (which sells recycled equipment).
