It is the second line of Pentium processors that ever came out, the equivalent to what is more commonly known as a Pentium 1. They are well out dated now, they were origionally designed to run windows 3.1, probably the newest operating system that can go in it would be windows 95, or if it has enough ram and it is fast enough the later ones may be able to run 98 but it would be pretty slow.

Successor to the Pentium microprocessor; also called P6, 686, or 80686. The P6 has internal RISC architecture and a CISC-RISC translator. It is faster than the Pentium for 32-bit software but slower for 16-bit software
