I have to find the correct driver I need. I don't have the origional software and I don't know a whole lot about computers, so if anyone knows a web site that can somehow tell me what type of sound card I have that would be a huge help.

hi there, i have an Asrock K8Upgrade-NF3 with AMD sempron 2800+ installed, everything was working fine until i-reboot my pc to reconnect my internal card-reader to the usb headers on the motherboard, when i tried opening again, i only get CHECKSUM BAD error, it tells me to load bios default or enter setup up but everytime i hit the keyboard to do those task, nothing happens, i tried to clear the cmos with the jumper but nothing still happens it only get stucked to that part.. need help, i gotta finish some work...

i have to computers that i want to upgrade. which is worth upgrading?

PC 1:

HP pavillion
intel celeron D 3.06ghz
760mb RAM
40gb hdd
ATI radeon 9250 PCI video card

PC 2:
Custom built
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
512mb RAM
120gb hdd
nVidia geForce 4 MX440 (i dont think i works)

i want to know which system will work better for games. i cant get a better video card for the HP and its not too impressive with the games.

the other comp has an 8x AGP slot, so that has a lot of potential. i wanted to get a new video card for it possibly. what do you think will be best for racing games? i dont want to spend more than $150.

would it be better to invest in a new system? i get a lot of emails from tigerdirect for pcs like "celeron 3ghz, 250gb HDD, SLI ready, 500w psu, 1gb RAM, DVD burner..." for about $550.
i know its a good deal, but i cant front that kind of cash.

I am soooo embarassed to have to ask, because I use a Mac at work. Now I am planning to purchase a used tower that is kind of like the one I use at work. But I know next to nothing about installing one...I think I'll need a Mac-compatible mouse. Also. Do all Mac computers have a built in OS or would I need to install one? Like I said, I'm pretty embarassed that I don't know. I feel like such a dumb bunny!

I want to give away some old hard drives i have laying around but i want to scrub them clean first. I have one windows xp machine with a open EIDE slot to put another hard drive there. I don't want to affect my windows xp hard drive at all. I have a couple of drives with windows 98 an those are the ones i want to delete everything off of completely like DoD so people cannot recover my tax info etc. Is there a program i can use that I can select the individual drive to scrub clean? Also my hard drive in my xp machine is partitioned is there any way i can make a recovery disk to de partion and scrub that drive and put xp back on it? please help thanks.

I have a problem with my computer that just started this morning. Whenever I boot it, it takes me to a screen that says that Windows did not boot successfully and gives me a bunch of options such as Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and Start Windows Normally. Whenever I try hitting any of the options, the computer restarts and I can never get to the startup screen. This has never happened before, but I'm guessing it might be a virus. How can I fix it if I can't log on?

Please Help!

i have noticed that this card requires extra power , by connecting a power cable between the card and the power supply... but the power cable requires 2 "4 pin head" to be connected, is it okay if I caonnect only one "4 pin head" to the power cable?
It's a bit confused... hope u guys understand >.<

My computer is a Dell Tower Model 4550. My CD-RW Drive is a NEC NR-9100A 108A I have shut down the computer. It does not have a CD inside. When there is one, sometimes it engages the CD, sometimes not. It is opening part way and closing, all the way or part way, then a bit back, then out again, like a dance!

i am running 3 hard drives and a DVD/rom on my gateway computer, when i test it at PCPITSTOP.com they tell me the hard drive on my secondary IDE has a very low uncached speed..ive tried different solutions to no avail so ive been trying to install a 80 conductor cable onto that secondary IDE drive but it will not take it..( both drives are jumpered to cable select)...the set up works fine using an older 40 conductor cable except for the lowered performance on that hard drive,,,why wont a secondary drive accept a 80 conductor cable????

OK, here's the deal. I tried to upgrade my comp with a SATA300 PCI adapter & new hard drive. Somehow after doing so, my monitor gets nothing at all from my comp.

I've tried putting everything back as it was, resetting the bios, and pretty much everything else... but no dice.

As a last ditch effort, I bought a GeForce 7300 GS PCI Express card, but that's not working either. Only thing I can think of is that the onboard card needs to be disabled - but I can't get into BIOS or Windows to do so.

Any thoughts, or am I just SOL?
