i want to know how to partition my hard disk,using fdisk.i can download fdisk zip file and burn that image to cd rom version.i can boot my system through that cd,its shows dos.but i dont know what command to use,to run fdisk to partition mt hard drive.
anybody knows how to use fdisk to make partition?plz explain step by step.my mail id anu201175@yahoo.com

What does each cable mean, the board was taken from a keyboard and following the wires will lead you to the PS2 connector for the Pc..

Ok, so i decided to make a normal keyboard be supplied with seperate batteries, but not 100% sure..
My idea... since the keyboard is PS2 connector there is obviously 2 wires for ground and 5v. (red and black, usually). The question is can i replace those two wires with 3 x 1.5v batteries ? Will it work?...

I would like to download some music but I am not sure of a good and safe site to got to. I have been told that hackers can get into your computer through mp3s somehow and that scares me. Any advice would be great!

I can see that a lot of my music still there, But not sure if all of it is. Some are just track numbers, and I didn't want to take a chance on losing ones that are rare and hard to find. I have a lot of trash to throw and know that it's slowing down my computer, I just want to see if there's any way through this without having to go through them all one by one. Any suggestions....?? My PC can used to play DVD movies but now it cannot. The light for the dive just flickers and nothing happened. Secondly, my audio CD are orginal but some disc can be played while some cannot. The games disc are also original but they cannot be installed. Previous installed game cannot be played now as the drive cannot read the disc. What can be the problem ?

while I am using IE or word, I haven't tried any other programs, My screen flashes. It's like it is moving the screen around for a millisecond. Doesn't affect anything else, just annoying. I just had a new mobo installed, with a new case and power supply. Im now using a DNA nvidia geforce i-DNA gigabyte, those are the words on the box. Any ideas what happened? I will call the shop tomorrow, but am wondering if you guys can help at all. Thanks in advance!!

I have an external hard-drive (320GB) which is formatted in Fat32, but I thought anything past 4GB had to be in NTFS format. How is that possible and is there any reason for me to change it to NTFS?

i had a cd come to me that turns out to have been burned to a dvd type cd. i see that 1 of my older computers has a dvd-rom drive. originally, this comp didnt have a dvd-rom drive. just has a floppy, 2 hd's, and a cd-rw drive. i want to 'cannibalize' this old box and transplant it into this machine. it'll be out of 1 of those 'e-machines'. and what's the best way to install this since i wouldnt have a guide to this thing.

I have the CD's to reformat the hard drive or to fix my operating system. I can't get into my system, cuzz it keeps on going in circles and wont boot up the OS. Can anyone lead me in the right direction into what I should do first. I don't want to wipe out my whole hard drive, but if I have to, I will do it. Can someone assist me on the first step on how to do this. My computer is a Hewlett Packard Pavillion and is operating on windows 98. Please help?

When I try to play music on Windows Media Player, I get the following message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. i have 3 monitors, but i can only use two of them with my current video card. is there any software i could download that would allow me to use the output vga from my motherboard(for the integrated onboard graphics) in conjunction with my video card so i could potentially use three monitors?

my memory and disk space everythign is all good but when i went here ...i went to start right click on my computer went to properties and system properties came out ...under advanced tab i went to performance settings and it gave me these choices (let windows choose whats best for my computer that is the one also that is checked or (adjust for best appearence), ( adjust for best performance) (custom) which one should i check fro the speed to move nicely in the game? thx:)
