My PC can used to play DVD movies but now it cannot. The light for the dive just flickers and nothing happened. Secondly, my audio CD are orginal but some disc can be played while some cannot. The games disc are also original but they cannot be installed. Previous installed game cannot be played now as the drive cannot read the disc. What can be the problem ?

These things burn out sometimes. If you've had your driver for a while, then they might need to be replaced.
You might also want to try opening up your computer and make sure all the cables are in place.

you need to open the computer tower and disconnect the data cable,its the wide one::.turn on the pc for a few seconds,turn it off and plug the cable back in but be carefull not to bend the pins to the cd-rom::.turn the computer back on.::if this does not work,then you may need a new cd-rom.If this does work then you need to Unistall the CD-Rom,software,restart the computer,and then re-install the software::.you wont be able to watch DVD movies without the software,but you can still use the drive,and to burn and play cd's

The one thing people seem to forget about, the laser lens needs to be cleaned periodically. You can get a DVD/CD laser lens clean at most computer stores. Like Radio Shack.

Update the firmware for that version, and clean the optical lenses with a cleaning cd..
