hum... so what is raid? what kind of hardwares do i need to have to set up a raid? i heard that is something about connecting 2 HDD together.... can someone also tell me what is the method? using a sata cable to connect both HDD together =.=?

raid = Redundant Array Inexpensive Disks

It's a technique to use multiple disks in order to provide better data reliablility. Several RAID levels exist. See the link above for some examples. This is not the same as JABOD - Just A Bunch Of Disks.

RAID = Redundant Array of Independent Disk

RAID allows for the use of multiple hard drives for the redundancy of data or faster access to that data.
There are multiple level of raid, and each has it's own characteristics. The most common RAID levels used are 1 and 5.
