my sims2 game is slow or freezes for a sec and i checked....?

my memory and disk space everythign is all good but when i went here ...i went to start right click on my computer went to properties and system properties came out ...under advanced tab i went to performance settings and it gave me these choices (let windows choose whats best for my computer that is the one also that is checked or (adjust for best appearence), ( adjust for best performance) (custom) which one should i check fro the speed to move nicely in the game? thx:)

With Win XP and the new Vista you have alot of fancy effects which eat memory. You should select "Adjust for best performance" if you do not have a graphics card. This will make windows look alot like Win 98 but it will free up valuable memory. I would also recommend getting a graphics card. THis will reduce your computer's need to borrow system memory to generate stuff to go on your moniter.
