Ok, so i decided to make a normal keyboard be supplied with seperate batteries, but not 100% sure..
My idea... since the keyboard is PS2 connector there is obviously 2 wires for ground and 5v. (red and black, usually). The question is can i replace those two wires with 3 x 1.5v batteries ? Will it work?...

What would be your point? You still need to connect the data wires! Then your details dont match your question! You are asking if you can replace your batteries with batteries! If your calc is compatible with your PC, plug it in and use it! You obviously know NOTHING about what you are doing! Stop tryin to be a tech before you smoke the calculator!

Sure you could.... But like someone else pointed out, you'd still need to connect the data wires to send the info to the computer. So what would be the point of having stripped wires, half of them going to batteries and half of them going to the data pin's of the cable, that would need to be connected to the computer.

If you're trying to make some sort of wireless deal, then it won't work... Wireless keyboard/mouses still have a base unit that has the cord going from the base unit to the computer. The wireless keyboard simply talks to the base unit, that is connected to the computer anyways....
