When I reboot my computer, it reboots to the BIOS screen which prompts for a password. I have to shut my computer off for a little bit then power up again. Then I have to put boot disk in in order for it to boot the proper way.

I know about processing power, graphics and sound cards, and memory (RAM), but how does having a big cache affect the performance of your PC?

Bonus question: When is it worth it to go dual-core? Do you need high RAM or cache size to get the most out of it?

I keep getting a variety of messages such as: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Another time it might be "one of your discs needs to be checked for consistency" or "DISK BOOT FAILURE" or " A DISK READ ERROR OCCURRED" I might add that the computer is only a few months old. I have just had the hard drive replaced to so say cure this problem. I am just wondering what else it might be? I have to say that it does eventually boot up but there is obviously something amiss. Any thoughts please?

It doesn't appear to boot up. When you turn it on, it sounds like it should start up (the fans come on). However, the light on the monitor won't turn green. It either stays yellow or flashes yellow. I have tried 2 different monitors and on flashes yellow and the other is steady yellow. What is wrong with this thing and how do I fix it? Thanks!!

Or do I have to do things more manually than automatic

I had an idea installing one thing on one local disk and installing another one on another local disk?

will it be more effective than having one 20 gb local disk...

before thinking that I have 5gb on 4 local disks this is the memory space on each local disk

16.7 GB
43.2 GB
58.3 GB
12.9 GB
Lol what i just said was confusing wasnt it?

well this is what Im really saying...

will my computer be faster if I have alot of 20GB instead of one 20GB?

Everytime i type certain letters, and press certain symbols, it does an unecesary action, and it is very annoying.

When i press space, it sometimes types a number, doesnt space at all, or makes a lot of spaces.
I tried restarting my computer, it doesnt work.

Took me forever to write this, but how do you fix it?

When I view the statistics it shows that I am running at around 3-6 FPS. My question is how do I get 30 FPS. Is it my webcam or my computer. The computer is new Compaq nc8430 and I am using a lynxis wireless router. Could it be my router. If I connect directly to a cable modem will I get 30 FPS. Thanks
