Seen it on a commercial.
You can solve problems just by writing with it just like if you put it (problem) into a calculator.

I wanted to install winxp and used the original cd to boot. Changed my bios setting so it boots from cd first. however, it prompted me to press any key to boot from cd, and then it goes to my old windows again. What's going on there? The only way i can do now is to disable my hard drive in the bios so that it won't boot up again from my old windows.

thank you for your answer!

If the C drive is reformatted, how does the different parts of the computer talk to each other? Like how does the CD drive tell the screen what to put on it if there isn't any windows? How does the CD drive work if there isn't any windows??? Please clarify what happens after you reformat the C drive.

The speeds are 2.13 GHz, 3.4 GHZ, and 3.4 GHz respectively. I am probably going to be overclocking a bit, and games are my main concern.

My sister has a dell computer and recently it was freezing up when she would be online. shes not very computer smart at all so she goes and takes the tower apart and takes the fans out and cleans them. she thinks that the dust all over them had something to do with it running slow and freezing! and she put it back together and when she goes to turn it on now it comes on, gets to the home screen then this little error thing comes up saying something like DLL something not found. i cant remember what it said. then all of a sudden it shuts completely off! then when you try it again it doesnt even get that far before it shuts off again. is it doing this bc she took it apart and maybe messed something up or what? it wont even get to her main page where i can run any kind of update or restore or anything! i dont know what to do. let me know anything you might think about this. thanks.

When I turn on my laptop, before Windows XP ever boots up, the screen is all jumbled up: series of thin lines all over screen, boxes in place of numbers/letters, whole thing is jumbled up mess. Sometimes Windows will boot up and sometimes it won't. If it does sometimes it's clear and sometimes it's got the jumbled up screen. If it does come up clean, then after about an hour or so of using the computer it will start to jumble up and then the screen will go black, and then blink from normal to black. Or it may just get jumbled up and then shut down on its own.

I connected an external monitor to it and it does the same thing (yes before windows boots up).

I have an Nvidia Geforce Go 6800 ultra graphics card in it. I don't know if its the graphics card or the system board. Someone help please.

Thank you for your time.

Whenever I boot up my computer, it tells me that my Cashee Fan is running to slow. I was wondering if there was anyway to resolve this problem or how to fix it?

2006-11-26 10:39:52 · 8 answers · asked by Toonzaka 1

It used to work on this computer, but now it shows up as "unknown device". I don't know what to do to fix it. I've put it in different ports and rebooted the computer

When I put it in other computers (all windows XP) it shows up fine.

Please give a detailed explanation if you reply because I do not know anything about computers.

Ok Listen To My Sad Story. I am only 14 years old & am good with computers. So it was time for me to get a new pc. I thought why not build it. So I bought all the parts. I came home and putit all together. I hooked my newly built computer into the monitor and plug socket. WALA it worked. I jumped with happiness for this had been a goal. The next morning I awoke and went on my newly built computer. It powered on Again a shock of happiness went through me again. The the unpredictable happend my computer just shut off. I looked inside of it and everything looked great I looked at everthing and relised i had a fried CPU. My Parents were very nice about it and bought me a new cpu. Guess what when inserting the cpu in I bent 3 pins and broke 1. My parents were going to get me a new CPU AGain but I declined. I returned all the parts except the broken CPU's. But I don't want to give up. Do You think I should get together with a tech and try again with cheap parts (215 dollars total). Thanks

im interested in buying a liquid cooling system. I need to convince my father that it is quieter than a cpu fan and more efficient. I guess my question is, will it cool down my case along with my cpu with minimal noise? the liquid cooling system i'm searching is a Thermaltake Big Water SE from tigerdirect.com.

On my laptop, Windows XP Starts up, goes to the logon screen, and when i press OK to log on, my wallpaper loads, and it tells me that EXPLORER.EXE is missing. None of my programs or icons load, or the start bar. It just sits there with a mouse and my wallpaper. What can I do to resolve this problem. I think its a big one.

C: is my boot drive, however, and when i tried to run cmd (convert.exe) it didn't work

Is there anyway to convert my boot drive C: safely?
I am running windows xp professional but C: got formatted to FAT32 because of the acer recovery cd i used (i got a new hd on my acer travelmate 290), and it some used fat32 instead of ntfs to install windows

other questions:
will windows still work right if i conver the boot drive C: to ntfs?
will i lose space by converting?
will i have to defrag?
