im interested in buying a liquid cooling system. I need to convince my father that it is quieter than a cpu fan and more efficient. I guess my question is, will it cool down my case along with my cpu with minimal noise? the liquid cooling system i'm searching is a Thermaltake Big Water SE from tigerdirect.com.

Quieter? Yes, more efficient? Not necesarily. To be honest with you, liquid cooling sounds cool and seems like a more efficient method, but in most cases, it's not. Usually liquid cooling is used primarily when huge leaps in overclocking is put into play. While it is somewhat quieter in regards to a fan, there are quite a number of CPU fans that are called "Cool and Quiet" fans. They produce minimal noise while keeping optimum cooling. Besides, if you somehow happen to break your liquid cooling, prepare for a mess and some possible computer damage (I'd recommend fan cooling)

I even have the comparable CPU as you and its incredible. I overclocked it to 4.5ghz using the Corsair H80i water cooling kit. I even have by no ability considered it upward push above 40 Celsius, no count what video games or applications i'm working. whether, it somewhat is quite costly and the Cooler grasp fan will substantially decrease your temps besides. in certainty some benchmarks prepare that it comes quite on the area of water cooled temps. It generally relies upon on what your funds helps.
