The speeds are 2.13 GHz, 3.4 GHZ, and 3.4 GHz respectively. I am probably going to be overclocking a bit, and games are my main concern.

It's a GOD!!
I've got the e6600... up from a P4 3Ghz, and I assure you... it's like Walking on Water!! Very Smooth, very impressive.
When it comes to Gaming, it's the Graphics card that made all the difference for me tho. I had a little 9600, and up'd to the 1600xt on my old P4! And that was impressive enough.
I've got a cheap little Card in at the mo (having spent most of my savings on Core2) - pending the Gfx card upgrade.

Core 2 Duo E6400 hands down!! That cpu kicks *** kills all those cpu's, its comparable to a Amd Athlon X2 5000+
Plus the E6400 is a overclocking beast, its great for overclocking
