i have an AMDsempron 3000+ 2.0GHz and a EVGA FX5500. If I upgrade my video card to an EVGA 7800GS AGP. Will it make a difference? pls explain.

can a coolmaster M-500 (from newegg.com) hold a quadcore q6600 which draws 105watts or 95watts depending on stepping and a bfg 7900gs which draws 350watts on 22 amps along with a 7200rpm hard drive and a dvd driver as well as all those computer fans inside...?

Well my computer seems to run fine when I open big programs like photoshop and wmp together but for some reason when I play a mmorpg like Ragnarok Online it overheats within 30 minutes usually 15. I've checked the fans and checked if there was dust inside of my computer but I cleaned it months ago because the dust was causing it to overheat last time and it was working fine until about last month when this overheating problem started up again. My friend and I guessed that I needed a new computer fan. So is that right?

had to reinstall win xp, created new user account, but used same name as before, now all files are unavailable.all files are still on my hard drive, virus scan and defragm. shows that files are there.tried to log on as admin, but no access to my files .no problems with net or sound files

I am interested in building a computer to play games on. I am looking pretty much for something that can run games like World of Warcraft. I am not too worried about price, as long as it doesn't go astronomical.

I would like a list of parts that I should look into getting and how exactly they are used and go together. I can do the basic putting together, meaning I can add ram, video cards, etc.

Anyway, what should I buy, what does it do, how does it go together.

I have a computer I got in '04 that I had to leave in storage when I moved from Arizona to where I live now. It's in your average storage locker at one of those places, but it's NOT temperature controlled. I haven't been able to go back since I left it there in February.. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience or knowledge on how a computer could survive in an area with 100+ heat for atleast 4 months out of the year. Is it likely that it will still work? Or will it just not boot up when I go to pick that and the rest of me belongings up? I'd appreciate HONEST and REAL answers from people.. none of those sacrastic responses saying I shouldn't have left it there.. thanks.

OK HERE GOES currently got compaq 07d0h motherboard and amd athlon 2200+xp chipset, and 512mb ddr ram am looking for dual core processor and new motherboard and somrthing that will take 2048mb ram and two 500 gig hdd any suggestions will be greatly appreciated money is sort of limited so will be using sound and graphics card from this pc if you can reccomend anything it would be great

Hi! I recently asked a question about wether I could upgrade my PC's processor. I called Alienware Tech Support, gave them my info, and said that I could. They then gave me two options on processors that I could have them install. Problem is, I'm a little strapped for cash, so I'd rather get it from a place like Newegg. I asked him if I bought one from a store and installed it, what would happen, and he said it would void my warranty. Should I take that risk, or should I just save up?

At night when i put my computer on stand bye.It shuts down fine but I can hear the hard drive still running.I have 2 hard drives in my computer.I have been up at diffrent hours of the night and the hard drive is run.After i bring computer off stand bye i don't have any trouble.
I have ask computer repair person about it,that even stumped him.so please helps me.

Ok I have just recently rebuilt myself a new computer but have kept my old 6800xt gpu and if I go into my system settings is says that I have DX10, now I know this sounds dumb but its crazy. well my hard drive just got replaced because it was making sounds, freezing, and turning off on me, then yesterday i fell asleep, my computer was on(i was scanning my computer and had yahoo messenger and firefox running) then when i woke up i checked on the computer and none of the programs that were running were open, it was like the computer was just turned on/restarted. i dont know if i should be worried since my computer is running like new and it hasnt done anything of what i mentioned above(stuff that happened when my hard drive was still broken)

is there a way to check what happened to my computer or should i just leave it alone?

I have an error 25 on my old mother board so I bought a new motherboard, cpu, power supply, ram, all that can or could be wrong with the assoicated error. I installed all componets and I'm getting the same error on a new motherboard? Anyone?

ok so i got this computer i got the power cord plugged in and the thing starts humming like its starting up
so i hook the monitor up and it doesnt turn on and the light on the power button of the computer isnt lit up like it should be but when i plugged it in the yellow standby light under the power button stays on for 2 seconds then goes off then comes back on for another 2 seconds then turns off for the rest of the humming session plz help!!

can it be due to the ECS mother board that I purchace, or the 64bit windows vista, I read that for vista 64bit you need a 2g minimum ram, and I did but nothing.

i have a dell dimension E510. I press the power button and when the loading thing is done, it says floppy failure. (i never had a floppy drive) then i press F1 to continue it says, cant find boot device press F1. I keep pressing F1 and the same message keeps apearing. Also, how do you activate the symantec system restore? is it CTRL + F11? I tried that at the start up and it dosent work. Thanks!

My pc: AMD 3500+ (2.2ghz), Abit AV8-3rd eye (K8T800), 2x 512mb (200mhz), 6800GT (256mb)

Hope i got that right! Anyway, one of my 512mb's is causing problems (frequent BSOD...) and I want to upgrade to 2gb ram seeing as a lot of stuff i do could probably use it. I also hope I'll be able to benefit from 667mhz speed instead of 200mhz i have at the moment? I am confused with this though...

I want to spend around £100, and I'll probably make a choice from whats available on ebuyer.com

If any more information is required please ask and I'll make an effort to provide

My PC has two System softwares. while starting the computer it askes me to select one of windows XPs. I can start the computer by selecting what I want but I don't like that and I want to format one of them whichis in partition C and I got worried that it may farmat all the contents. so what can I do to format only one partition and stay with only the other one?
