well my hard drive just got replaced because it was making sounds, freezing, and turning off on me, then yesterday i fell asleep, my computer was on(i was scanning my computer and had yahoo messenger and firefox running) then when i woke up i checked on the computer and none of the programs that were running were open, it was like the computer was just turned on/restarted. i dont know if i should be worried since my computer is running like new and it hasnt done anything of what i mentioned above(stuff that happened when my hard drive was still broken)

is there a way to check what happened to my computer or should i just leave it alone?

That's typical of an update process. It needs a restart to activate the update. No cause for alarm.

Right click on My Computer and go to Manage.

Inside that Window go to Event Viewer. Check over all the logs that will tell you what may have happened.

I wouldn't be too concerned it was probably a normal reboot by the computer, but it could have been a virus, overheating or improper installation of the HD hard to tell really unless you look at the log files.

Windows update probably installed updates, which required a restart. Since you didn't do anything on your computer after the updates were installed, the computer automatically restarted. If everything is ok, then don't worry about it.
