Alright, where to begin. My computer is a couple months old but purchased on a budget. I plan to upgrade my computer piece by piece. I want to firs upgrade my motherboard. I bought 2GB of RAM (3200) and don't want that to go to waste so I need the motherboard to be compatible with that. Also Have a PCIe Slot, support AMD Athlon (socket 939 or AM2). Basically find a motherboard that has the following for under $150.

I currently got a new computer and I just tried to download the DSL download CD onto my computer. It says my desktops needs an ethernet adapter. I really need help because I am the most computer illiterate person in the world. My desktop is an HP A6130N. I bought it at CompUSA. My question is that should my desktop have come with an ethernet adapter? If not, what type of broadband internet can I use without an ethernet adapter because looking on amazon, they're quite expensive. PLEASE HELP!

I heard somewhere that the slower your computer takes to boot up, the more likely it is your hard drive is in trouble. Is that true?

For my part, it only takes mine 30 seconds to a minute to load.

I noticed in the latest edition of CPU magazine, they were talking about different OS. They mentioned that there was a program that when you clicked it, you were able to run another operating system (Ubuntu, i think). Does anybody know the program or any program that lets you do that?

I guess I will drop any notion of getting speakers.. Could be Xitron is a rip off artist and be glad the package came in perfect condition. Pricegrabber should take them off their list of places to buy computers.

Being on this Website is something new, I,m usually on Yahoo cameras.
Ordered from Pricegrabbers Dell E510 desktop, and found 2 days ago no speakers in box. Aren't speakerers suppose to come with it? Do I ***** to them or just let it go. It was a good price. Also between me and my daughter we wind up putting computer on 7,8 times a day...maybe more. Do we just leave it on all day or keep doing what we're doing?

I have the processor described above and I'm thinking of upgrading it to a 4000 san diego, but I'm not sure whether or not I should get a new cooler for it. I can't find the athlon 64 4000 box where I live, so box cooler is not an option. I have no intention of overclocking it.
