Do you have the Windows XP CD? That's what you need to reinstall, then follow the instructions on this page:

Make sure your computer's BIOS is set to boot first from CD/dvd drive. Insert disc and reboot. Computer should go into setup.

first put win xp disk.
restart pc
the u gonna get message before windows boot screen. press n e key to start setup.
press n e key. setup wil run
wait for cuple of mins. then pren enter to yes setup windows xp.
agree to terms F8.
then press Esc to setup windows manualy.
u will have choice to leave or remove ur partitions. if u have n e..
clik on c drive. and press D then enter/return and l.
then press C button to crate new drive.
enter numbers of size u want to be the partition if u making n e.or just press enter ant angin enter to install on this drive/partition.
select quick install.
windows start installing diles...
remeber once u have deleted partition u wont be able to get it back ur data or windows.
so beck up before u do instalaltion.
after instlling files pc will restart.
and it will start(do not press n e button this time to setup windows.) setup will continiue.
there is nothing to worry about..
only thing u have to do there is select laguage and country u leave in. and thats all all u have to do is press next next next.
after windows logon u have to enter user name.. and windows will start..

you said my copy of windows xp???????
if its not bootable you need to buy another one
but all original Windows XP CDs are bootable
