when that pops up [constantly] I click on the monitor pics in the task bar. Sometimes it gives me a little more time when it displays the connecting info if it doesn't quit too. I cannot open mail or go into bookmarks...or access successfully....I have been trying to download a sound driver [my fifth problem] but it pops up that message and it's over...cannot download or select some options....

I am looking for a sound card for my desktop computer between $50 and $100 that will be hooked up to my yamaha stereo receiver with JBL Northridge speakers. I have read that creative sound cards make crackling and static noises when hooked up to stereos. I am interested in the M audio 5.1 surround sound card. I was just looking for suggestion on soundcards and advice about creative and m audio sound cards. If you know of better ones for the same price range please let me know. The sound card will be mainly used for music, video games, and some DVD's.

I just got my other computer back from the shop today. I had to have a new motherboard and processor put in. When I started up my computer it takes like 5-10 mins then it will eventually say "Bootup from CD Rom" I start installing the windows cd and when I get to "starting windows" i get an error message stating something is wrong with "partmgr.sys". So i tried to wipe my drive and go that way but when I do that it is telling me "No physical drives found". I know I had a hard drive when I took it into the shop and I should have one now. Does anyone have any suggestions please?? The guy that worked on my computer won't be back in till tomorrow at 10 and it's already been a month really don't want to have to take it back up there and wait another dang month.

I have an older computer with Windows ME software. Some how my Windows Media Player was deleted, and I tried to download a media player from Download.com, but it said that it would only work with Windows XP. Anybody know where I can get a simple media player (like the one that was on here) that I can just download and won't require a different software or that I won't have to pay for????

Hi, On Best Buy web site they got a sale on there desktops. I have a HP Pavilion a400n. It has a 80 gb harddrive. 5 gb's of it are partioned into backup files for the computer. I deleted all of the files now i want to get rid of that 5 gb and make it into a 10 gb. How to do it?

I am working on a PC that will now power on since a recent storm. I switched out the power supply with a spare one which is 100 watts less than the original one. I only plugged it into the motherboard and hard drive. It does light up in the front and I can hear the power supply working now. I hear no other sounds though. Is that because I have to get the correct watts and plugged it up all the way? How would I know if there is a problem with the motherboard?

My computer is an eMachines desktop. The model is a T2885. The motherboard was just replaced in april. It has a 2.8GHz Intel Celeron Processor, an 80GB hard drive (of course right now it's a bit bogged down with games and such), a DVD-ROM drive (16x Max. Read), a CD-RW drive (48x Max. Read), 1024MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9200 GPU, and an Intel(R) PRO 10/100 LAN port. The sound card is Envy24 Family Audio blahblahblah (it's decent.) and i was thinking of including a few higher end games that I've purchased. The monitor would be included, but it's old and bulky. Thanks in advance.

I originally purchased it for about 500 dollars, but i've added the new sound card, new GPU, mobo replaced, installed an 80mm fan, and added 512MB RAM

I have a SBPCI Sound Card which is connected to my speeakers. I want to use my onboard sound card for receiving output thru my headphones so that i can shift to and from my speakers and headphones without bothering the wires. My pc does not acknowlege the presence of the creative sound card though i can see it in one of the slots behind the CPU. How to i set both of them up. I want to make a Raid-1 array. I have 4 hard disks, a 100GB, a 30GB a 120GB and a 250GB. I want to make an array with the smaller ones to add up to 250, so with that array i make another array with the 250GB hard disk. Can this be done?

What happens when you put a Athlon 64 into a AM2 board. Does it work with DDR2 or does it fall back to DDR speed.
