1) If the motherboard is working at all (eg your computer is running off it) download and install a program called aida32. If it is completely broken, you will need to open up the case and look for signs on the motherboard itself. Or if you know the exact make and model of computer you bought you could look up the manufacturers website. or if you have any documentation that came with your computer it could be on there.
2) Use NTFS it is much faster and space efficient. Only use FAT32 if your operating system is windows 98 or earlier.

In order to find out what type of motherboard you have, you would have to open your PC case, and read the model number
off your motherboard, then go on the web to look it up, and follow the links. I find using an NTFS partition to be better than FAT32.
I have used both, and compared the difference.

Well... I don't know whther your PC boots up(starts) or not. If it starts, keep pressing "DEL" and then you'll enter SETUP. Here you can see configuration details of hardwares of your PC.
FAT or NTFS depends on your usage. NTFS is better than FAT but its not helpful in win 9.x systems. Otherwise NTFS is better option to choose if you are using Win 2000 and above.
I hope I have answered your question

Go to CompUSA or Tiger Direct and get a motherboard compatible with your CPU and your case. That should present no problems.
I personally prefer NTFS, but others may disagree.

I canot tell you what MB you have without looking at it. You'll have to open th PC and read the model no. from the MB itself.
NTFS is vastly more secure and efficient than FAT32.
