Partition Magic is good but there's a much better program called BootIt NG.
http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/bootitng.html
It's a lot more reliable than Partition Magic (although a bit less intuitive to use). I'd highly recommend it.
Whether or not you pay for it or "acquire" it through other means is up to you. But I think it's worth the money.
Note anyone who says you have to reformat is utterly wrong. Also Disk Management only works when you have unpartitioned space to expand into, which you don't.

Boot the computer from your Windows CD. Delete both existing partitions and create two new ones - one 10 gb and one 70 gb.
Keep in mind that doing this will delete all the contents of your drive, so you'll need to back everything up first and be prepared to reinstall Windows (and everything else) after partitioning.

If you only had 2 partition (let's say C and D=5gb).
It's pretty sure your Operative sistem it's on drive C, so, in order to grow up partition D, you have 2 options:
First One, to reinstall windows, and on the step where you define the partitions, define a bigger partition for D. Of course this option involve do a entire backup of your info.
Second One, is to get a software like "Partition Magic". As far as I know, it could help you to grow up your D partition without format the entire disk.

Partitions can only be changed by low-level formatting. Typically, low-level formatting erases all data on the entire disk. So, after you repartition your drive, you will have to reinstall every piece of software, starting with the operating system.
Alternatively, you can simply install a second hard drive, which will give you more partitions to work with...

If you delete the 5 gig partition you will lose your warranty. That partition is for system recovery. If that doesn't bother you, you can always use a program like partition magic to delete the partition and create a new one.

the main uncomplicated reason for this situation is that the bearings in the force are inflicting worry. this is a quite uncomplicated situation. Noisy bearings do no longer influence the overall performance of the force (different than aesthetically), yet issues of this way have a tendency to worsen with the aid of the years. On a extra recent force this is oftentimes the sign of a generating illness. be sure that the stressful disk is fixed appropriate into the case, as a unfastened force can intensify vibration and noise.
