when that pops up [constantly] I click on the monitor pics in the task bar. Sometimes it gives me a little more time when it displays the connecting info if it doesn't quit too. I cannot open mail or go into bookmarks...or access successfully....I have been trying to download a sound driver [my fifth problem] but it pops up that message and it's over...cannot download or select some options....

easy fix if it works (if you are using Internet Explorer) is to go to tools->internet options->advanced->browsing (node)->(check or uncheck): disable script debugging (IE), disable script debugging (other), display a notification about every scripte error.

By adjusting those settings you may hit upon one set that works.

If you are using another browser there are similar menus and settings to get to and adjust.

hope this helps even though it is very general.

Let's try some brainstorming. Is this a new or old problem? Did you install or change something on your computer before the trouble started. The latter can help you home in on what caused the problem. If you have any security software, it might be a good idea to scan your PC. There are hordes of malicious software which can cripple a computer.

One option is to uninstall the problematic software(s), reboot and install the software(s) again. This usually works in cases in which critical files of the software become corrupted. When you reinstall the software, these files are restored.

Sometimes, it is impossible to narrow down the problem. In these cases, if you are using Windows XP then your best bet is to use System Restore to restore your computer to a time prior to having problems.
