I have a Samsung SCX-4100 and I have absolutely no clue how to scan pictures...

It's installed and everything and I've been using it as a regular printer but I wanted to scan pictures but can't figure it out...

I Have Like Usb ports in the front of my computer and memory stick drives if i hook something up to it Nothing happens Please
help i don' want to have to buy a memory stick writer and reader

When I am typing on my laptop, the mouse disappears. I don't know where it is. When I go to click on something where I am typing, I can't see the mouse, so I don't know what I am clicking on. I checked my settings, and it says "hide mouse while typing" and it is NOT checked.

My laptop is about a month old and it is a Sony VAIO, if that helps any.

They have been ruined over time (kids plugging in devices over and over and over again) and I just need them replaced. Is this something I can buy and do on my own to save a repair cost? I'm pretty handy. Tell me I can do it, and I will. :)

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. It was working fine, until just like 30 minutes ago. The screen went dark and I can't make it bright again. I can VAGUELY see the screens and everything, but I currently have it hooked up to an external (Enormous) bulky monitor. HELP!

The size in mind is about three and nine-sixteenths inches by two and seven-sixteenths inches. If not, are there any tricks I can use like putting a mirror on top of it, scanning it as a photo, and taking a negative of the negative?

Even the most basic or obvious suggestions are welcome.

i bought a HP Dv6000 that had came with vista and i had changed it to windows xp pro...... and i went on the hp website 2 download all the drivers and they dont work and i really think they would never work does any1 no how to get these drivers to work for xp BEST ANSWER!!!!! i will appreciate it if you help i will give u best answer ++++++++ thanks and any1 who finds this out and could help me is a genius becuz it is nearly impossible according to other websites all drivers such as (Ethernet, Wireless Card, Network, Audio, Video Controller Base System Device) THANKS IN ADVANCE if u r a genius :-)

when i look in the menu bar, i see shortcuts with an arrow pointing up, the apple sign, and a letter....ive tried to hold the up arrow, but it doesnt seem to work...does anyone know what key on the keyboard makes the shortcut work

i installed a raid drive and the controller card in my computer, that is running xp professional. while it boots up i see the driver give me some options or i can just let it continue. when the desktop displays i click on the my computer icon and the normal page pops up, i see the c: drive the a: drive the d: drive(cd-drive) but the raid drive is not there. i right click opn the c: drive and go to properties and device manager the drive is there and the drivers are there and working according to that page. why then will they no show on the my computer page? also i have installed the drivers from the cd and still no icon at my computer screen.

Do I have to change the thermal grease once seperating the CPU and Heatsink?

It's the same CPU and same Heatsink being used... I bought a new processor from the store and they sent me the wrong socket version. I'd like to have a Computer to use in the mean time.

I upgraded my laptop's RAM from 512 MB to 1 GB. The Best Buy guy said I could just replace it and turn it on. The computer doesn't do anything when turned on now. I tried putting the old one back in and it still doesn't show anything on the screen. Is there any way to get this working again!?

(it's an HP Pavilion wih XP upgrading to Kingston DDR 1 GB)

I wanted to put some movie files on DVD's. It's your standard DVD-R, but I'm wondering if I might have jumped the gun buying a whole package of them. My computer is an HP Pavilion 503x with a built in ATAPI CDRW 52X32 cd writer. I'm not looking to make DVD movies but just to burn them as files onto the disk. I'm wondering if my drive is able to do this, or if I may have to go out and buy a DVD writer.

recently got an old computer from my grandpa, its hard drive is running windows 98 right now. I have an old harddrive running xp. so i installed the xp hard drive and it says

windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt \system 32\hal.dll.

so i put the windows xp startup cd in and then the blue screen comes on and the setup process starts. i later press r for repair but it doesn't recognize that i have a hard drive in.

I just got an Epson perfectoin 2450 photo scanner and after instaling the driver which i got online, the scanner does not show up under imaging devices or in my computer and i can't scan anything. The scanner does show up in the hardware profiles and it says it is working fine. Please help

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for an IBM monitor or how to adjust the color settings for it? I'm on a different pc and didn't want to use the smaller monitor and didn't realize my monitor would look so out of sorts. Please help.

Hey guys, 2 part question.
1- I would like to know what u guys think about an I-mac vs, Windows run desktops. I saw an I-mac recently at best buy and thought the picture was amazing, though the I-mac is a bit expensive. Also I would be using my desktop mostly for Media, chatting, downloading and web surfing so hwich is better in this regard? My friend says he wouldnt buy an I-mac becuase it has trouble running all kinds of programs, is this true?. So can someone tell me the pros and cons of an I-mac vs non I-mac?

2- Also, is it better to buy a desktop from somewhere like best buy or from an Independent computer retailer which I don't know of any in Las Vegas. And how can I find a local PC retailer if it is better?
