i had 2 restart my comp completely so it was rebooted and the speakers stopped working and now it says theres no sound card but i kno there is one and i dont kno wat to buy or how to install or anything so wat should i do
how can i make my comp git sound

I did a total system recovery and when I went to restart a black screen comes up and says NTLDR is compressed then it says ctrl+alt+delete to restart keeps doing that..HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if they make an adapter or cable to hook the VGA output on my computer to my DVI input on my monitor? I know it will still going to only be vga quality but I want to free up the VGA input on my monitor so I can hook up my Xbox. I looked at adapter but I was told it only goes from DVI to VGA not VGA to DVI. I know I can buy a DVI output card for my computer but I don't want to go through trouble or expense.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have a Compaq Laptop that wont stay on. Sometimes it gets into windows but shuts down. Other times it wont even start up.

I already tried replacing the power supply.

I have windows XP I check the Dell website but I do not know which drivers to get. Can you please tell me which are the right ones to download. I have a MagicSpin DVD+RW/+R dual format rewritable drive. I have an Emachine model W3050, 1991 MHz AMD Sempron
+ (tm) 3000, ram 512 MB. The drive is an internal. My current cd drive doesn't burn and won't download some software.

i was just wondering if this ps would run this card. The ps is a 420 watt with 18A on the 12v rail. The brand is chieftec and the model number is HPC-420-102 DF. My system is a p4 3.2 ht, 1 gb of ddr400 ram, 160 gb sata hdd, 6 box fans and and this 7950gt.

Hello,

I am told by my technician that a 8600m gt video card gets really warm. This would cause the hard drive to fry or act funny. Therefore, I am deciding to buy a cooling pad.

Here are my issues:
1-My fan is located on the upper left side of the laptop.
a-Do I need a fan that blows air up into the fan?(that draws fan from under and releases from the left side)

2- What cooling pads are better?
a- Aluminum?
b-Usb based?
c-AC power based?

I getting a new Refurnished Laptop And I was hoping Oblivion Would work on it However It only has 1.86Ghz Processor Speed And I'm worried that it wont . Alright. I downloaded a thing called Second Life. I wanted to open it after I downloaded it, but now it says,
"Second Life is unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date or unsupported. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers installed."

I'm about to build a well runnning yet low-cost computer.

The graphics card I'm about to order is the Diamond Viper ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO 512MB . The specs on this beast is amazing but I'm not so sure if it's good with gaming. But it handles Direct X10 so it should work great right?
