Help!!! I did a total system recovery to my laptop...?

I did a total system recovery and when I went to restart a black screen comes up and says NTLDR is compressed then it says ctrl+alt+delete to restart keeps doing that..HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have the windows xp cd it did not come with my laptop..I have a recovery cd

Pain in the backside but fixable.

You have to boot into the recovery console.

Put your Windows CD in, and boot to it, during the process it will recognize an operating system, and ask if you want to install or repair, choose repair.

Open the recovery console.

From the recovery console, run these two commands

CD\

ATTRIB -C NTLDR
