Consider my computer is 6 years old and the hard drive is 3/4 full (I'm going to put a new one in within the next week), and, I have this thing set up with security like Fort Knox, it takes about 3-4 min to completely boot up from a complete shut down.

One takes 38 seconds
One takes 42 seconds
and the last one takes 1 minute 25 seconds
First one AMD 2500+ with 2GB (dual channel) of pc3200 Ram
Second AMD 3800+ with 1GB (dual channel) of pc6400 Ram
Third one is Intel 1GHz with 256 pc133 Ram
I just timed them on a reboot, from the time the power returns till full operation. All running XP Home Edition.

I don't keep my computer very clean. It has all this crap on it so it takes about 5 minutes to load fully before I can do anything.
My other computer takes about 15 seconds.

About 45 seconds. PC is Athlon X2 4200+, 3GB RAM (256MB allocated to video.) Running Windows XP, SP2, antivirus, antispyware, firewall, and HIPS package.

my home deskstop takes around 1 min
my notebook takes < 1 min
my office...goodness ....its takes 5 mins !
