Hello,

I am told by my technician that a 8600m gt video card gets really warm. This would cause the hard drive to fry or act funny. Therefore, I am deciding to buy a cooling pad.

Here are my issues:
1-My fan is located on the upper left side of the laptop.
a-Do I need a fan that blows air up into the fan?(that draws fan from under and releases from the left side)

2- What cooling pads are better?
a- Aluminum?
b-Usb based?
c-AC power based?

Thanks

I'm using a cooling pad now,it doesn't have fans it cools by putting space between the laptop and what ever it is sitting on,it works pretty good,so you might want to try one
