If you live near an Apple store, you can head there and try them out. Seriously, they don't mind you walking in and browsing the web on them. Try them out and see what you think.

Find your nearest Apple store here:

But the fact that your laptop runs Vista suggests that it's quite new. Do you really need a new laptop already?

If you access the net through a router (wireless or not) then you'll be totally fine with a Mac. If you're one of the minority still using a modem to directly connect your computer, you might need to find mac drivers for it. Or, you could upgrade to wireless at the same time, and browse the web on your new MacBook from anywhere in your house :)

That Is A Very Wise Decision. Macs Are Way More Faster Than A Toshiba, Or Any Other Model That Works With Vista.

Hi, if u r not a gamer and are ready to sacrifice all ur favorite windows software then yes its a wise decision. Windows Vista is really nice u know, it has many security features of Linux and Unix. Mac OS X is built on Unix. With Vista at least u can play ur favorite games and run ur favorite applications like live messenger and the latest version of yahoo messenger. Plus then all the hardware and software u buy with an Apple laptop will be from Apple itself and that means u won't be able to use the best hardware and software out there. I hope I helped!
Good Luck and take care!

Try anything once. But what do you need your laptop for? Your question doesn't say you want to buy an Apple. Are you just a technojunkie? BT broadband is compatible but probably quirky.
BTW doctorf - question specified broadband so connection is not via modem - don't count on the new job yet!

Y E S All microsoft products are very undesirable and homestead windows, particularly Vista, is a first-rate occasion of this. you are able to desire to actual get a Mac. to respond to your 2d question; information superhighway is information superhighway. Your broadband could desire to be coming by using a community DSL modem router, which then purely connects on your community card. in case you have a USB modem, then you definitely ought to have some driving force subjects because of the fact USB connects on on your pc somewhat than purely offering an community connection, in spite of the indisputable fact that Macs are very properly suited presently, so which you would be able to desire to be nice, purely verify the hardware specs
