Scanner problem?

I just got an Epson perfectoin 2450 photo scanner and after instaling the driver which i got online, the scanner does not show up under imaging devices or in my computer and i can't scan anything. The scanner does show up in the hardware profiles and it says it is working fine. Please help

Do any Epson programs come up in the Start ---> All Programs path? If so, and if one of them is the one you need, try right-clicking it and placing a shortcut to it on the desktop.
