i just put Dsl on one computer in my house. what should i do to put Dsl on my laptop. What do i need? Where should i buy the epiqument? How much would it cost?

What you need is a wireless router! you can buy one at best buy!! Oh and its obviously "wireless"!! so no wires!!

From what you state, you have the DSL feed going to the modem and the modem LAN feed going to one pc.
To run 2 or more pcs, the best thing to do is to procure a router. You connect the router WAN port to the modem Ethernet feed. You then connect the pcs to the LAN ports of the router. If the router has too few LAN ports, you will also need a network switch; connect the router LAN port and all devices to the network switch. All of these connections are made using straight CAT5 patch cables. A wired router is easy to configure and is very secure. You need no other devices on the pcs for this to work. Follow the router config manual carefully.
If you want to go wireless, you can spend more to use a wireless router. You will also need wireless adapters on the pcs unless they have such already (many notebooks do). With wireless you MUST enable security or hackers will find you and crash in, stealing your bandwidth and more.

Just plug the laptop in and it should work just fine, no extra software needed if going wired. Wireless means a router is needed.

you will need a router they cost anywhere from 45 to 50 dollars some are higher, plus you will need the cord to plug into the router an your laptop, best to go to any computer store ask the people there, places like best buy an circuit city

i have dsl connected to my laptop.....u need the ethernet cable connected from the black box to ur laptop its not complicated at all
