I have a friend whose laptop's monitor is broken, his monitor display is all negative colors we brought it to a repair shop and they said that it was caused by too much playing games on it. I just want to be sure if that's true because i want to install games on mine and I'm afraid that it might also be broken.

I am wondering if i can put non-ecc ram in a dual socket 940 motherboard. Ecc registered ram is a fair bit more expensive than non-ecc, and i want to know if the motheboard would work with non-ecc.

The board i am looking at is MSI's
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/server/svr/pro_svr_detail.php?UID=613

and several other ones.

Also, is it worth the extra cost to get the Ecc registered ram?
Ecc registered ram is supposed to give "Increased reliability"
What does that mean in the real world, what benefits would i see from it?

The START does not show them, please tell me where I can go to see all of my applications, and if you do not know, just post I DO NOT KNOW, just so I know if other people are having the same problem as me. Okay, so my hard drive died and I just plugged in my new one. It's an Maxtor Diamondmax 20 80GB PATA

I turned the computer on, all is well. I put in the Windows XP CD and it started setup ok - and then I realized it was seeing my USB stick as the C - drive. I panicked (being a computer zero) and exited the Setup process when the prompt came up. I got a message saying the computer would re-boot in a few seconds, and during that time I unplugged the data stick.

Sure enough, the computer rebooted alright and now I get this message "Error loading operation system". (It doesn't matter whether I have the disk in or not) How do I get myself out of this?

Thanks.

I've got a shuttle FS50 with a 150Watt power source.I want to get a new graphics card as playing games on my old machine is not that great.Unfortunately, my pc only has 32-bit pci slot and don't want to spend cash on a new pc.I did a search and found out about radeon 9250 but it requires minimum of 250 watt. Was wondering if that's gonna be a problem.
