Hardware - March 2007

Both my PC and Mac are not recognizing my external hard drives. I think I may have not properly disconnected them before shutting down my computer. What should I do?

I installed a new HP Photosmart C5180, when we went to print Works Spreadsheet like we did for years on the old printer which was an All In One like the new one. A message pops up saying I'm out of memory and needs to close. Had 512MB add and it now has 768MB. Everything we try to print in Works Spreadsheet it say out of memory. Thanks in advance for any help. Tom T.

I lost my serial key to Star wars Battlefront II and so i emailed LucasArts to see if I could get anew one. They said to provide proof of ownership, that I had to "scan" the receipt, CD's, manual, and/or game box. What do they mean by "scan."

when i play music through anything wmp winamp whatever there is a clicking noise every now ang again like im playing vinyl. ive heard it before on another pc somewhere ant wernt that bothered cos mine is reet.

hi i have a epson c46 printer but when the ink ran out and i changed the color cartridge it will not recognise it and keeps saying i need to replace the cartridge but it is brand new is there anything i can do to stop this happening any help appreciated.

I'm guessing it's screwed and broken. It emits a lovely tune every time I try plugging it in. Is there any way to retrieve the files from it? Could sending it to an "expert" help in any way? Or am I doomed?

I have a computer with an Intel D850GB motherboard with 256MB RDRAM on it. Since the amount of memory is too low, i want to upgrade my memory. However, RDRAMs are both obsolute and expensive, i would like to buy DDR RAMs. I wonder if my motherboard supports that kind of RAM, if not does it support anythingelse than RDRAM.
