I tried to hook-up the Hard Drive to my computer, but when the set-up menu came up, it wasn't in Japanese or English, so I couldn't understand it. Is it okay to use with my computer? If so, how do I install it?

I am in Japan too. No CD was included, because it said it has easy set-up would be included. I can get to the folder, but I can't read the menu, it comes up with all the boxes, but just lines and question marks. I have the HD-H320U2

It doesnt matter, where it is made.
You can connect the new hard disk to your mother board as
primary slave or secondary master/slave
dont put it as primary master.
For this, checkout your hard disk JUMPER settings.

I am using the same but I am in Japan. Along with your hard drive I am sure you got two Cd's, one will have HD-HBU2 something like this and the other one MCR-C7/U2. If your computer can use external drive in that case just use the one with HD-HBU2(or whatever title you got)

Put plug in to electric, then insert USB cable to computer.
insert cd in the drive and it will work automatically.

After installation it will say installation completed.

I hope it will help you.

Setup menu?

Internal drive: yes.

External drive: check the voltage on the adapter. If it's OK, you should be OK.
