I lost my serial key to Star wars Battlefront II and so i emailed LucasArts to see if I could get anew one. They said to provide proof of ownership, that I had to "scan" the receipt, CD's, manual, and/or game box. What do they mean by "scan."

Well.... it you own a scanner you can scan those items and create immages that prove that you purchased a legal copy instead of downloading it, and email them a copy.

I recommend using a permanent marker to write the associated serial key on the *non-readable*/label side of every CD that you own when you first open the box. That way you can't loose it.

You need to send and image, I believe you can also send a digital photo, of all of the original packaging so that they can give you a new key.
So if you have the receipt and all other info that they are requesting you can scan the paper work using a scanner or you can take a digital photo and send it to them. If it's legit they will give you a new key.
Hope it helps

A scanner is a computer peripheral that makes digital copies from letters, newspapers, photographs, etc. like a photocopier.

Do a Google / Yahoo search for: Canon LiDe 20

and look for a link to www.canon.com

lol!

Stick the the receipt, CD's, manual, and/or game box, under a scanner photocopier (one at a time--hehe) so that you have an image of them, on your PC, then send the scanned image to the company

They probably mean that you have to show the "Bar Code" or send in a copy of it or the actual Bar Code from the box that your game came in.
