The basics seem to be enough, however, depending on the version of Vista your video adapter may not be compatible with the Aero feature.

Also, there are many hardware devices for which no Vista drivers are yet available. These include :

- modems
- printers
- webcams
- wireless devices (including keyboards & mice)
- sound cards
etc .....

It may be wise for you to download & run the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor. It will take a closer look at your PCs hardware :

"This small software tool will scan your computer and create an easy-to-understand report of all known system, device, and program compatibility issues, and recommend ways to resolve them.
Upgrade Advisor can also help you to choose the edition of Windows Vista that best fits the way you want to use your computer."

well you have all the right stuff to install vista but if i were you i would wait a bit ( maybe a year or two ) to make sure Microsoft eliminated to sum of the bugs since each of its OS's are full of bugs then it will upgrade it a bit by bit

I am going to be blunt with you. Please do not upgrade to windows vista. It is software that has just come out, so you should wait for a few years so that they can get the bugs out. Aside, from that, i do not believe that your specs will be compatible with windows vista.
