Ive got a DYNAPOWER USA 86B2 PC case that I built up a few years ago. The only thing that gripes me about it is the front LED/Neon light bars. It has 2 vertical bars on the left and right side on the front panel. On both abrs at the top, the light stays blue. But on the bottom, the colors constantly change. but they change at different rates!! Is there anyway to make them stay the same color, or is there somewhere that I can get replacement light bars without buying a new case?

and Intel duo core 2 6600 @ 2.4 ghz

will a 420 Watt Power Supply handle this?

I'm probably going to wander around with it all day, so there is a good chance it will get banged up. I've been looking into ruggedized notebooks, but they are too big to be practical for me, and I doubt I'll need a laptop that works in arctic conditions or at high altitudes.

So I decided semi-rugged was my best choice, but I want one that's in the 10-13 inch range and less than 4 pounds. The only ones I could find that small were the Panasonic Toughbook thin and light series and I was hoping for more options; are there others out there?

FYI: I will probably be using it mostly to go on the internet and write papers. I always have a couple internet windows up browsing through myspace or facebook. I'm not a gamer. I like to listen to music and watch movies, but I'm sure I can get a separate CD/DVD drive. It would be convenient if it had good sound, though.

I recently bought a new motherboard and it has a video card built in, I however want to use my Nvidia video card instead. With my Nvidia card installed i get a bunch of lines thru my games, internet pages, etc. I think maybe both cards are trying to run at same time. How do i stop the motherboard card from interfering if that is the case. I have reinstalled my Nvidia card quite a few times so any sugestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks

i cannot access it at all. it is beyond self repair because i cannot reach any screen beyond command prompt and every command i try does not work.

if there is nothing i can do myself what other actions are possible? i do not want to throw away an almost new 160 gb hd?

Ok so tomorrow I will be making my MacBook purchase. But I can't make up my mind Black or White? Also should I upgrade to the 2GB? I'm using it mainly for school, and I travel a bit and like watching movies on my computers, I also do a little bit of video editing with home movies... so would the 1GB be enough?

We have a store front business. Me being the only employee besides the boss and secretary advise the boss on time and space saving ideas. I have upped business about 25% since changes I have made took place. I threw away old junk, boxes, etc. added phone lines, reorganized cables. We have an office in the back of the building with dark paneling and a computer. I added a light in there. Our secretary is gone 3 days of the 5 day week. Customers constantly coming in prevents the boss from going to the office much where alot of approval orders go through. My solution is a double everything. The keyboard, monitor and mouse. and possibly the USB. i can extend the USB with cat5 for about 55$. What is the best thing to do with the KVM without a KVM switch 350$. we want to spend under 1-150$ and add a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the front desk to control the back office computer.

I have a good idea, but want to know what you all think.

Also, If anyones interested I'm in Michigan Saginaw, Lansing, Ionia, St Johns, Grand Rapids, Bay City, Midland...... I'm close to all of these, I travel.

Its a desktop pc that I made, it works good and has never crashed.

AMD Sempron 3100+ 1.8 Ghz
1 gig of ram, in one chip, = open slot
Nvidia GeForce FX 520 graphics card, it has 256 ram
CD/DVD Burner Dual Layer burns dvd's at 16x i think, and cd's at 40 something rips dvd's pretty fast too
17" flat panel monitor, (slight amount of burn in across the top, but you don't notice it when your using programs, just on the desktop)
Keyboard and Mouse
XP home edition or whatever its called, sp2
Microsoft office, word excel powerpoint

cant think of the mobo name right now, but i dont think that really matters

The screens have gone black on both of these computers and I would like to download my personal information before sending them out for repair. The only way I can think of is connecting the laptops to a desktop monitor. Please advise as to how I can do this. If this is not possible can you offer any other suggestions? thanx!

When I first got my PC it ran decent. It came with an Intel Celeron D processorand 256 MB of RAM running Windows XP Home Edition. Since then I added 1 GB of RAM to my PC. At that point, it ran perfectly smooth. I was wondering what has been causing the slow down lately. I have no clue what is up. I tried Virus-Scanning, Scanning for Spy-Ware, and Defragmenting my hard drive. I also tried removing unnecessary programs from my computer. Nothing has helped. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks a ton!

This is for a friend who has a hp 640i dvd writer and it would not open up the door. She went to hp and it gave her a test to use to check it.. it told her to unhook from the power and take a paper clip and insert it into a small hole in the front of her computer. This is a manual door opener.. Then reconnect power and see what happened.. She did all of the mentioned steps. The light came on the writer, and the door opened and then the computer quit.. I mean just shut off and will not come back on.. what is up with this computer smart guys.. Help my friend out please!! She is in telephone contact with me and is crying... We need some pc smart people and I know you are out there... please help us!

I just reinstalled my computer but accidentally used the reinstallation CD from my old DELL on my HP. And now my sound isn't working and PCI driver won't install. Do I need to reinstall with the HP CD (if i can find the thing) or can i keep it as a dell and fix these problems?

Do I put in the CD that it came with? I don't have an XP cd seperately, but it says that "The Restore DVD...gives a complete backup of the software that was preinstalled in the PC at the factory..." It came with XP, so will this work? I'm not ready to do it yet because I have some more backing up to do, but how do I do it? Just stick the CD in and restart? I'm computer stupid. lol.

I am out of printer ink and I was going to put my daughters homework on my flash drive so she could print it off at school.

#1 Obviously when I plug it in win xp will recognise an external
storage device. Do I need to do anything else?

#2 Then if I drag and drop what needs to be open to drop the file
in.

#3 Also when she gets to school, when she plugs it in will that
computer open up a window asking her what she wants to do
with the documents?

#4 Can you save web pages on it? Because my Mozilla Firefox
browser doesn't have an option "send" when I right click on web
pages.

I had problems with my computer and I am in safe mode with networking right now. I tried to scan something into my computer but it said I couldn't because the spooling was either on or off, where do I go to change the spooling settings??? I've looked everywhere.
