I can have 2GB of RAM for an iMac, but for 3GB it's an extra £400... will the extra 1GB make much difference? Can I add more myself later?

I've been using an old canon bjc 210 but it's suddenly stopped working (although the power light is still on) and the 'error' light keeps flashing. It may be best to lay it to rest, unless (hoping) someone knows how I can bring it back to life. Otherwise, the cheapest printer for windows millenium would be appreciated.

I have a military grade laptop from 1983 (?)

Its weighs like 25 pounds and has a bright red plasma(I think) monitor (fun and wierd anyway)

I used to enjoy using it. Very reliable. Lotus and WP, procomm
, etc.

It no longer works well for me.

I want to reformat and reload my software from then, which I still have (if the disks work now) (maybe some lost data, maybe not)

Anyway if it Fdisk, the Format c:/s ?

Then restore maybe?

I went crazy ten years ago so maybe I forgot.

PC people , if you know , please help.

I have a new hard drive. The easiest place to install it is in a location where it is upside down. My question asks, can the hard drive work properly if it is upside down, or does it need to be right side up to work at all? Best answers will say that they have done it before and give their results. Thanks very much for your help!!

If it makes a difference, my hard drive is larger than 137 GB.

What would cause a computer to go into a continious loop with resetting? It shows the dell thing then windows loading but when it hits the black screen like I'm about to get the log in screen it starts over.. BUT I can get into my computer if I go though safe mode? Note I do NOT have a burner installed so please don't recommend anything that could make me lose my files...

I have a load of used Epson and compatible ink cartriges, and I am looking for a charity or somesuch to send them to, since some places collect them for fundraising.
What I keep finding though via Google and suchlike, is that most places that accept used ink cartriges dont accept Epson... I am loth to throw the cartriges away, as I use loads of them. Can any of you tell me of a charity or place to send the used cartriges to? Thank you soo much.

i was saving image files, bmp. then the next day as tried to open it, file system turned to RAW. i tried to convert it to NTFS. i tried to format it but it wont let me. how can i fix it? the files inside the usb are dispensable to me. all i want is to fix my usb. help. thanks.

Dell Dim E510. Bought WinTV Go-Plus. Installed it, and have pic but no sound. What's missing? I don't know what else to do. This is frustrating...help if you can. I'm running windows xp and i have mce2005. Hope this helps get me some results.

All volume controls are on full etc. The sound lead that linked the screen to the computer (the sound comes out of the screen) has been tried in several possible slots. Neither speakers nor earphones work in any of the audio slots on the back of the CPU bit (not sure of it's proper name.) Help, please.

Ok i got the S-Video cord, i got cords for the audio, and i hit the F8 button to get the computer to transfer to the tv, but all that happens is my tv pops a little and you can hear the audio, but no picture. Does anyone know what else I need to make it work or what i'm not doing right?
