My computer wont read cds and i think i remove the program by accident how can i re-installed the drive?

Nothing got 2 do with the cd

Cd roms or cd drives are detected automatically by the operating sytems. I don't think you accidentally remove it, if you did, it will come back the next time you start the PC. . . Go to my computer and check whether the Cd Rom is there. If it's there and won't read, that means the Cd rom lens has a problem. You can use a cd lens cleaner.

Go to control panel, add hardware, next, yes i have already connected the hardware and select your cd drive of your pc. SHould work now.

I don't think it would show your cd drive in the device manager.

Hi. Use "Start> Control panel> System> Hardware> Device manager>". Right click on your CD drive and use "Uninstall". Reboot and Windows should reload the drivers for you.
