Hardware - March 2007

I have never tried this ever! and it just started like 3 days ago and my hands are always far from the touch pad of my laptop thats why it amazes me when i am typing and the cursor goes to another word thus, mixing the words up! I hate this, I type pretty fast and i cant seem to get things done since it keeps on moving everywhere. Like in this sentence, suddenly it jumps to the first sentence above... What is wrong???????/ Please help me i got a paper to finish this weekend that needs to be submitted this Tuesday morning... HELP!!!!

i bought a used hp it's suppesed to have sound, i've checked in the control panel under sounds it all appears to be there just can't seem to get any sound from my speakers and yes the speakers are fine, any suggestions?

i love all the features and just about everything about the imac
however i would not be able to get a new mp3 player for a long time (i currently have an iPod photo with a crappy compaq pc)
i love the imacs
the look,software,camera,everything...
and as far as viruses and s

on the other hand...

vista desktops seem to be less pricy and just "ok"
plus there are more available software titles and games for it
(only real gaming i do is arcade games online "addictinggames.com")
and i really love the zune
plus
zune and zune marketplace vs ipod and itunes is not even close
14.99/mo for unlimited songs
compared to
1/per song
and zunes have more features and a bigger screen

apple has microsoft beat out in the computers section

but as far as mp3 players micosoft beats apples ipod

that is...in my opinion

so what do you think?
go for the imac and no mp3 player
or vista home premium pc and zune?

Getting the blue screen of death when I start up windows, the machine is a DELL INSPIRON 5150, not sure what the problem may be and the specific error message seems to be not on the internet so i cannot find information about it.

I just got this macbook pro, its got 2.16ghz intel core duo processor, and 2gb 667 Mhz ddr2 sdram. Okay, so my friends keep saying how much memory do you have on your computer, ill say 2gb, and everyone is like oh thats nothing b/c my ipod is 80 gb. That doesnt make sense to me! how can an ipod have 80 gb and my computer only have 2gb?? Also, is what i have considered a lot of memory or does what i have suck?

When you scan a barcode straight or upside down how come it still comes up with same results....

Is it true new HP printers like the HP PSC 1510 have cartridges w self destruct capacity built in if one trys to refill them? This would be similar to the Epson cartridge which has a memory chip recording the amount of ink used and preventing refill when the memory senses the cartridge is low or empty.

I recently began to have an issue with my Compaq Presario 5108US where it would not boot at all. I began to take the computer apart piece by piece and found that the hard drive/cd-rom/dvd all work but only if just the power cable is plugged into them. If the data and power cables are plugged into them the drives refuse to work. Am I wrong for thinking that my motherboard or cpu is bad?

So I put a cd in my mac laptop and it made a weird noise and now the cd won't play nor will it eject? What else can I do? I've tried turning the computer off and on and holding the eject button. I really don't want to tell my dad about it, cause we have been having to many problems with this computer.

1) i have a 2800 hp printer.it will not read files from the usb. i think people say it something about the ports(port1, port2...)
2) i do not know how to fix my printer. what do i do? also i might try to uninstall the printer and install it again. the cd installation is lost. is there a plce to donwload it?
