Your system battery could be of one of two things. The battery that is located directly on the motherboard(used for the clocks and to keep the computer active) and the voltage "pack" which is where you plug from the computer that goes into a power strip or outlet. This could be dirty inside with dust and its recommended that you give it a basic clean out every three months. Or over time it can wear down and eventually will need to be replaced. You can clean out the pack by first turning the system off completely and for safety reasons unplug it then you'll want to take an air can which you can find at best buy or computer stores and it will spray compersized air into the through the back through the fan and it will blow the dust out of it which causes it the whole computer to slow down. If you havent opened the cover or panel on the tower in over 6 months i would go ahead and take the panel off by taking the screws off the back along the edge that holds the panel in. Then just spray air into it and get all that dust out of it and thatll keep your computer running at excellent performance. Its not really all that hard, just be sure to put it back the way it came out.

Laptop and Desktops all have a battery. Most laptops can have the battery recharged; desktops do not. If it is a desktop contact the manufacturer immediately for a replacement battery. Laptop, purchase another battery and have it fully charged as a replacement. The harm to your computer, particularily the desktop, is it simply will not work.
Have a skilled person install the battery in the desktop. My kids tried it on their own and it was a disaster. Good Luck.

It is either thinking you have a ups attached , or it thinks the battery for your bios is bad.

You can replace the bios battery in some computers easily. In others it is soldered in .

I would leave the system plugged in even when turned off because thats when it is charging the battery.

See if the message comes up again .

Hi Angel,

Your system battery keeps track of things like the date etc. It is a button battery much like a watch battery but bigger around.

It won't harm your computer but it will start causing issues. It is easy to replace. Open the computer & look for it. Once you find it remove it and write down the number. Get a new one - Radio Shack will have them for a dollar or two.

Good luck,

Norm

equipment battery can in person-friendly words advise the CMOS battery. those are frequently a flat round battery. this may be fairly obtrusive on the motherboard. You dont opt to undo any particular covers as such. i'm assuming that you're relating a pc workstation. in simple terms take this out, get a alternative and ability on your workstation. you are able to opt to enter the BIOS and reset the date and time.

That will need to be replaced. It keeps things going, even when the computer is shut down.
